Campaign Management
All BRANDDirectMail.com prices are shown with three postal options. Your postage selection depends upon the timing and distance of the mail campaign. Overall the US Postal System is a network of 29 bulk Mail Centers, 455 Sectional Center Facilities and 43,000 local post offices. A significant component of Campaign Management is calculating how your mail will travel through this hub and wheel based system.
First Class Postage Rate
is top priority and departs the delivery center within 24 hours. First Class delivery over a small geographic area will usually take just one day and up to three days over a longer distance. Presorted First Class Postage provides a meaningful savings of $.051 per piece over stamped or metered mail. Use First Class when timing is critical or when the address list is spread over a wide area. All undeliverable pieces will be returned to the return address on the mailer.
Saturation Standard Postage Rate
is the lowest price postage available to businesses and requires a mailing density of 90% of all households in a postal carrier route. This is an excellent format for targeted neighborhood mail. Delivery is within four to eight days depending upon distance. Undeliverable pieces will not be returned to the post office.
Mixed Standard Postage
provides a significant savings and is used for selective name delivery with no density requirement. Delivery is within four to eight days depending upon distance. BRANDDirectMail.com does not recommend Mixed Standard Postage for national mailings due to the slow process of a single piece of standard mail traveling through the postal system. (Have you ever mailed a postcard on vacation and have it arrive after you returned?) It is best to use Mixed Standard Postage when mailing within about three large states. Undeliverable pieces will not be returned by the post office.
Non Profit Postage Rate
is lower than Standard Postage and is available for qualifying Non Profit organizations. BRANDDirectMail.com can help you apply for this permit using postal form 3623. Permit fees and prepaid postage will be required.
Timing
For your Campaign Management Critical Path work backwards from the desired in-home date. Allow time for postal delivery based upon the class of postage and distance as discussed above. Job timing begins with the final artwork approval. Whether your are submitting complete artwork or we are designing the piece. BRANDDirectMail.com will provide a printer's proof. For approval, submit an email with "OK to Print" to set the job in motion. From "OK to Print" allow twelve business days to postal delivery.
